The bed was exceptionally comfortable & room was unique. Hotel's location was marvellous, close to great restaurants. Besides, it was near the orchard in which the hens wander, and the hill.

Stunning location on a working farm, nice pool. Also - near to pubs & village, beautiful grounds, the centre of the village and the Manor House. Luxurious unit with a great decor. Amazing and incredible breakfast for every taste.

    historic building
    guest lounge
    accessibility issues
    heating problems
    cleaning concerns

Fine building steeped in history with beautiful grounds. Access to a drawing room for guest use added a nice touch to the experience.

The bed size wasn't as expected, and part of the heating system in our room was malfunctioning. There was no hot water available for showers in the morning, and the bathroom cleanliness left something to be desired.

Beautiful escape in Long Crendon 🏡

What a lekker experience! The four-poster bed had me sleeping like a baby. Tim's brekkie? Out of this world, fresh juice and all! Got to strum the grand piano too, total vibe!

Only thing was the steps to the bathroom, a bit of a trek for the night visits!

    charming hotel
    friendly host
    cleanliness issue
    mobility challenge
    dog odor

Charming historic hotel with a good host who provided valuable local insights and cherished the fresh breakfast made from home-grown ingredients. The atmosphere was made more inviting by the lush garden views. Guests with mobility issues may find the stair access challenging, and cleanliness in the room was lacking, with visible dust and worn towels present. The presence of large dogs contributed to an unmistakable odor, which may not be suitable for all visitors.

The total stay was really amazing for one night. The location of the property was beautiful. There was enjoyable breakfasts with bacon, strawberries, bread from the in-house bakery. The property is close to several pubs in the village. We can recommend the 8 Bells for an extremely good dinner. It was also close to a beautiful manor house as well as Bicester and Oxford.
